Well, we had the whole fam in town for Thanksgiving and it was a BLAST. A crazy blast, but a blast just the same. We shot each family individually one afternoon after Thanksgiving in the freezing cold and everyone was such a good sport.

I love this family to death. Courtney's mom always makes these girls matching dresses and they were adorable.

It was so fun to meet this family. She has the most beautiful smile and an 8-yr-old that did whatever I told him! So easy and so much fun!!!

The only thing I'm mad about is why these stinkin' pictures' quality gets worse and worse every time I upload...gonna have to look into that.

Oh how we love this family! We had such a good time with them during this shoot. And Bexley would not leave my side while editing all the picture of baby Asher, she is in love with him! I just wish we'd hung out with these guys a little more while we were close.

I'm calling this one the "Ensign" picture and I'll wait for someone to call requesting a copy for the cover...

This poor little lady...I sat her right on top of a yellow jacket nest. She only got bit, or stung, or whatever they do three times and was still the most photogenic girl I think I have ever photographed!

Needless to say this one was a little nervous when I sat her just a few feet from where her sister was attacked!

Really, could this shoot have been more fun? By the time I was done editing I found myself wanting more (and that's pretty uncommon these days)! These guys are so ready for this little miracle to make her debut. And this daddy-to-be had so many sweet things to say to this adorable mommy-to-be during the session, not to mention what a great helper he was to me. I wonder if he's sure he'd rather be a lawyer than my assistant.

Throughout this shoot Bryan kept asking if he was doing better than Dave did in their shoot. Dave was pretty well behaved but their session took longer and this one turned out to be a piece of cake, so I'm gonna say it was a tie.
It's definitely another fave. Annie, you're gorgeous. Audrey and Julia, you were even better behaved than your dad. Your outfits were awesome, as always. And we even had plenty of sunlight!

Actually, I don't think we really trespassed for this shoot, we did try to knock on the door to ask permission until we realized it was abandoned and there weren't any "No Trespassing" signs posted. Either way, this spot was well worth it, nice find Natalie! I can't believe it was almost two years ago when we last did this family's pictures and now they have a new one that is just too cute and reminds me so much of Bex (but chubbier).

We had to get an updated version on this one!

Red Faced Seables

They warned me they'd been in the sun all week, but I had no idea how red they were until I started editing! This was another of my all-time favorite shoots. All the kids did exactly what I told them, no wiggling, no toys or snacks needed for bribing, no chasing, just lots of cuteness, perfect dimples, and fun posing.
They are naturals...love this family to pieces!

Emily is probably #1 on my list of favorite posers. It was like she was inside my crazy little mind the whole time and doing everything I wanted her to do or better. I LOVE this picture of her because it reminds me exactly of a picture of her as a baby that I think still sits on my grandparents' bookshelf. I've always thought it was the cutest baby picture and now I think she's the cutest 11 year old.

Apparently I need to start paying attention. Over the weekend I got pulled over for running a red light (nicest man on earth...he let me go). It doesn't surprise me. I've been running a lot of red lights lately; I blame the gps.
So, on my way to this shoot, while in Idaho, I turned down a street going the wrong way. It was lined with barriers on either side so I panicked when I saw a stream of cars headed my way. Luckily we were in the suburban and climbed right over those barriers, no problemo. Then we had a fun night with this cute couple!

These girls had a few of their own ideas when they found out we had plenty of time for their shoot.

And this groom NEVER poses the way I tell him to, I mean, what is he even doing here?!

For this shot I told them to try to look "cooler" and one of the groomsmen said, "we're not cool, we were the nerds in high school!" But I think they pulled off "cool" pretty well!

I promise, we really did get some boring, traditional poses too!

This part of the night was TOO CUTE. It was the moment Russell saw Karli for the first time right before the ceremony. He'd been SO nervous and after this all were in tears and he was much more relaxed. These two are head over heels for each other and it was so fun to watch them all night.

I had way too much fun while we were in Idaho. I think we ended up doing six shoots total and they all went so well. But this one had to be my favorite. I got to meet my BFF's new babe and take my sweet time taking the pictures so I could hang out with Amy as long as possible. She was the best behaved baby I have EVER shot and we had so many fun props to play with thanks to Tara.

No Trunk This Month

So, every month I take pictures of Bexley with an old trunk I use for pictures. But at 8 months we were out of town for too long to use the trunk to have it actually count as her 8 month pictures. BUT, this was so much better. My new favorite idol let me spend all kinds of time with her. She taught me so much about photography, let me use her studio, props, and a lens I now covet. She renewed my excitement for photography again and now I can't wait to go back to Idaho to play with her again. THANK YOU TARA!!!

I didn't think I could take on one more shoot before we move, until I got an email from this adorable little family. So, I looked up their blog and found out she is a nurse in the NICU. How could I refuse her?! We loved the nurses at Good Sam for helping Baby Bex grow strong and healthy enough to finally come home to us. The Future of Farr's Ice Cream

This poor family! Every time they schedule a shoot one of these cute little boys ends up in the hospital...first it was a football-sized tumor, then a broken arm, then a fever. Luckily we make it work in the end and everyone ended up healthy for these shots!

Thanks again to Laurie A. for using her google skills while on the phone with me, one tear streaming down my face, praying to figure out what the heck is wrong with my camera! A quick tip for anyone with a Canon 40d...apparently they tend to lock up. When this happens, change to manual focus, then back to auto focus and you'll avoid any messy tears!
